Description

Mid-century modern silverplate serving bowl in the Flair pattern by 1847 Rogers Bros., introduced in 1956. The asymmetrical shape and softly curved rim are characteristic of the atomic-era style popular in the 1950s and early 1960s. Unlike a traditional round serving bowl, this piece has an organic, sculptural form with a slightly uneven outline that gives it a distinctly modern look.

The Flair line is considered one of the more distinctive and collectible mid-century patterns produced by 1847 Rogers Bros., a division of International Silver. This bowl feels heavier than many silverplate pieces and may be from an earlier, more heavily plated production run, though it is not marked triple or quadruple plate.

Vintage condition with light overall wear and faint surface scratching consistent with age and use.

Dimensions: 9.5ʺW × 13ʺD × 2.75ʺH
