An antique French miniature pastel depicting sailboats on tranquil water beneath a softly glowing sky. Delicate shades of blue, cream, gold, and peach create a serene coastal scene, while the mirrored reflections lend the composition an airy, atmospheric quality.
Rendered in pastel on paper, the work has a distinctly Impressionist character and demonstrates an impressive level of detail for its diminutive size. A small artist's monogram or mark appears at lower right. The original glass remains intact, though the outer wood frame is no longer present.
