Vintage Banded Onyx Trinket Box

A carved banded onyx trinket box in soft shades of celadon green, cream, mauve, burgundy, and caramel. The richly colored stone displays natural veining and striations throughout, with beveled edges.

Originally used as a trinket box, this piece works beautifully atop books or repurposed to hold business cards, coasters, a deck of cards, or other small objects. The piece once retained an import sticker that has since been removed, making its exact European origin unclear. Similar examples are often attributed to Italian makers, though this piece is unmarked.

Condition: Missing back piece. Surface scratches present consistent with age and use.
