Vintage French Two-Tone Stoneware Bowl
Description
Vintage French stoneware bowl, circa 1960s. Finished in a classic two-tone glaze with a soft cream body and a warm brown rim that subtly graduates in tone; no two are exactly alike. The interior is fully glazed, while the exterior retains the matte texture of the stoneware body.
Marked with a debossed “5” on the underside, likely indicating the bowl’s size within the maker’s line rather than a pattern or model number. The simple footed form and variation in the glaze give it the understated character of mid-century French utilitarian pottery.
Sourced from France.
Measurements: 2 1/2" high x 5 3/8" diameter.
