Antique English Mellor, Taylor & Co. Stratford Brown Transferware Plate

An antique English semi-porcelain plate by Mellor, Taylor & Co. in the Stratford pattern, featuring delicate brown floral bouquets, leafy branches, and flowing ribbon-like details arranged around the rim.

Mellor, Taylor & Co. produced pottery in Staffordshire, England, during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Transferware designs were applied using printed transfers rather than painted entirely by hand.

Circa late 19th to early 20th century.

Dimensions: 8 ½” diameter

Condition: Crazing and staining present throughout, including a distinctive circular area of darker crazing in the center, adding to its aged character.
