Antique French Advertising Terrine Pot With Lid - Boucherie-Charcuterie
Original antique French advertising terrine pot with lid, hand-painted with “Boucherie-Charcuterie J. Sifflet Longueau” across the front. “Boucherie-Charcuterie” translates to butcher and delicatessen, with Longueau referencing the town in northern France where the shop was likely located. Finished in a rich warm glaze with hand-painted striped detailing wrapping the sides.
A beautiful example of French provincial advertising ware with lovely typography and an especially charming low, wide silhouette. Perfect for shelf styling, kitchen display, or adding warmth and patina to a collection of French pottery.
Age-related wear, glaze variation, and surface imperfections throughout, consistent with age and use.
Measures approximately 3 7/8" tall x 7 1/4" wide.
