Antique French Green Garland Terre de Fer Saucier
Description
A beautiful antique French terre de fer saucier by Choisy-le-Roi featuring a delicate green garland motif, warm cream-colored glaze, and its original attached underplate. The elegant scalloped form gives the piece a timeless, understated appeal that layers beautifully with ironstone, terre de fer, and other collected tableware.
Originally designed for serving sauces, gravies, and dressings, it is equally lovely repurposed as a vessel for floral arrangements or candles. It also makes a charming decorative accent styled on open shelving, in a hutch, or atop a stack of favorite antique dishes.
Produced by Choisy-le-Roi, one of France's most celebrated faience manufacturers, circa 1890–1920.
