Antique French St. Uze Café Canister
Description
A charming antique French St. Uze earthenware canister labeled Café. Produced in the pottery-making village of Saint-Uze in southeastern France, these utilitarian wares were designed for everyday kitchen use and remain highly collectible today. Decorated with a classic cobalt blue grapevine border, the glaze has a softly blurred, flow-blue-like quality that gives the decoration beautiful depth and movement. Equally lovely styled on an open shelf or used for storage.
Shown with the Antique French St. Uze Poivre Canister, sold separately.
