Antique French St. Uze Poivre Canister
Description
A charming antique French St. Uze earthenware canister labeled Poivre (pepper). Produced in the pottery-making village of Saint-Uze in southeastern France, these pantry wares were originally made for practical kitchen storage. The cobalt blue grapevine border features a softly blurred, flow-blue-like quality that gives the decoration beautiful depth and movement, while the petite scale makes it especially charming for display.
Shown with the Antique French St. Uze Café Canister, sold separately.
