The surface shows pronounced impasto and layered brushwork, particularly across the table plane and produce. The palette is grounded in warm ochres, muted greens, and soft neutrals. A signature appears to read “G. Leaky” in the lower right corner.

The keyed stretcher, hand-driven tacks, and oxidized canvas back are consistent with late 19th–early 20th century construction. Visible age and wear throughout. The two-tone wooden frame has a crack but remains stable and includes hanging wire.
