Antique Victorian Tramp Art Box with Floral Silk Lining

Antique Victorian tramp art box with finely layered chip-carved construction and original padded floral silk lining. Likely made circa 1880–1900. The architectural form, stepped sides, and deeply carved diamond patterning make this an especially striking example, with crisp geometric carving across every surface.

The interior retains its original padded floral silk lining in remarkably good condition, a detail that is increasingly difficult to find. The box is in exceptional condition for its age and intricacy, with the carving remaining crisp and the interior beautifully preserved. Highly decorative both open and closed, with warm honey and walnut-toned wood creating strong contrast throughout the carving.
