Vintage White Enamelware Basin

A classic vintage enamelware wash basin in creamy white with a deep blue rim and beautifully chippy patina. Enamelware became widely popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries as a lightweight, durable alternative to heavier ceramic and metal wares. Basins like this were everyday household staples, used for washing, bathing, and food prep before indoor plumbing was common.

White basins with contrasting rims remained popular into the early–mid 20th century for their clean, practical design. The worn finish reflects authentic age and use, adding to its character.

Measurements: Approximately 13 1/4” diameter x 5 3/8” tall.

Condition: vintage wear throughout including enamel loss/chipping and surface marks consistent with age (see photos).

Styling ideas: use as a countertop catchall, fruit bowl, bread basket liner, bathroom accent, or plant base.
